Budhai Pahar – A tourist spot situated in the heart of the nature, just outside deoghar town in jharkhand.

When the bordem of sitting in a home doing nothing but waiting for the lockdown to end got over my head, i decided to go out on a ride. I ran this idea by my friends and they took it that instant. One of them even expressed his enthusiasm by dancing a little.

I was not surprised to know that they liked it so much. It was a long awaited journey. It was something everyone need to get over their headache and tension. Then there came the planning.

Among three choices Trikut Parvat, Usri fall and Budhai.

The location was chosen considering few factors like distance, speciality and time duration.

So, among Trikut parvat, Usri fall and Budhai. It was finalised that budhe will be the destination. Because its distance from deoghar town is just 25km. We also though that instead of taking car for such short distance it will be a thrilling ride on bikes.

We were 6 people and we took the road the next morning. A sunny day, old friends and cool breeze of air passing through our faces. I wasn’t expecting anything better than that. Guess what the day had a lot more to offer.

We reached Budhai in about 45 minutes. Since we have been to that place before, i thought we’ll visit the temple and take a walk in the bank of the river. Something we usually do in Budhai. Like visiting temple, bathing in the river’s cold water.

So to make it more exciting the group decided to climb the top of the hill. We started climbing the hill from the frong right corner. Just 20 meters above the rock, cave like structures started to appear.

A friend took out the camera and started clicking photos. The small naturals caves are built in such a way it look like some king’s throne. I sat on one feelling like a king and got my picture taken. After about 20mins of climb we reached on the top of the hill.

And the nature showed it majestic grandeur. From one side what appears as a small hill from the opposite side it is a straight climb of almost 1000 meters.

From the top of the hill to as far as you can see to the horizon. The green jungle and in the heart of it the magnificient river coming out glazing in the sunlight. My eyes filled with awe and my heart with gratefullness for the life. 

The mountain is covered with lava rocks and amazing patterns that makes it seem like and outer planet in the galaxy. There are a few spots in the mountain where if you can take pictures and feel the same.

As long as i could be there, i wanted to capture everything. Each and every small detail, all the heartwarming moments. Although i had to head home before the evening I wanted to take solace in the fact it became a very pleasant and suceesfull journey. And it will stay as a memorable part of my life.

You will have to bow down to the nature and its compelling art work.

One can visit this place by either booking a cab or if you have your personal vehicle. Its very close from the famous town of Deoghar.

 

 

Notes: 

Madhupur is a small town in deoghar District.Madhupur is popular for its sweets .some people call this hill Buddha pahar or budhai pahar. Madhupur is almost 27 km away from Deoghar. It is best to book auto or four wheeler. It took around 1.5 hour to reach the hill. It has Shiv Temple and Budhei Mata Mandir in a cave.
